For those who love butternut squash, you will love this little creation.
If you have never been in the kitchen with hubster let me describe a little bit.
It looks like World War 3 hits in there, but I love to clean up so I always say,
“That’s why we work.”
Another thing, I like to follow recipes and books, where he just throws stuff together.
And let me tell you….I don’t think I have ever had one bad meal.
All the random little creations end up being some of our favorite recipes.
So for New Year’s Eve he created this little dish.
All you need is chopped butternut squash, butter, brown sugar, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
Heat some olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Throw in the butternut squash.
In the microwave melt some butter then add a spoonful of brown sugar.
(sidenote–this is also amazing on top of biscuits)
Pour the sugar/butter mixture on top of the squash after they have cooked for about 3-5 minutes.
Throw in 5 who cloves of garlic, salt and pepper (to taste).
Mix the squash around for about 5 more minutes.
Enjoy!!! Let me know how you like it!!!
