Gobble Gobble

As I am cooking in the New Year, being healthy is the goal.
I have been making some of my favorite recipes but without the big carbs.
Turkey and veggies mixed in rice is a go-to in our house.
But I have now been making without the rice and it is still delicious.
Plus the ingredients needed are great on your wallet!
This will feed 2-4 people, depending on how hungry you may be.
Oh portion control….still working on you!!
You will need: Ground Turkey Breast (my fav below), 1 chopped white onion,
1 chopped (no seeds) jalapeno, 6 cloves chopped garlic,
bag of frozen mixed veggies, and spices!!!
Your first step is to throw a tad bit of olive oil in a pan on high heat.
Throw in the onion and jalapeno. Cook for about 2 minutes.
This will smell delicious! Yum!!
Throw is the frozen mixed veggies.
**Before using thaw the bag for about 5-10 minutes.
 
Cook all the veggies for about 3-5 minutes.
Push the veggies to the side of the pan so you can add the turkey.

Throw in the turkey!!! And season away.
You can never have enough seasoning for this dish.
We use everything we can find in the pantry.
Garlic salt, lemon pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, “magic dust”.
(*Magic dust is a blend of seasonings….will post recipe)

Shake shake shake!!
The more spices, the merrier!!
Mix around the veggies and turkey together!
At this point throw in your chopped garlic!
Once the turkey is good and the veggies are soft…..voila!
I like to add a little taco sauce on top of mine….why not!?
