Good Eats: LA SANDIA

Jan 31st
When I woke up Sunday morning it was pouring outside.
“Great”….I thought. “My one weekend day and it’s raining.”
We had plans to have a “date day” in Santa Monica and
decided not to let mother nature drag us down.
Driving PCH we ended up at Santa Monica Place.
Fun shops, amazing dining, and great atmosphere.
We found ourselves craving a margarita and south of the border dining.
La Sandia was the perfect spot for our afternoon date!!!
Next time you are looking for a new spot this is a MUST!!!
You can dine in a covered courtyard, which despite rain,
makes you feel like you are outside.
The chips are delicious! Bet you can’t have one basket!
And the salsa had a smokey taste to it…my favorite!
(no chunks…extra plus!)
This is heaven in a little glass.
They make their own sweet and sour and you can taste it.
Lime, mango and strawberry are their signature flavors.
The Queso Fundido is a must!!!
Three melted Mexican cheeses served with warm tortilla.
This was gone in maybe 10 seconds!!
The skillet tacos were amazing!
We did a combo of steak and chicken.
Some of the best steak I have had in a while!!
My little taco!
Grilled peppers, chicken, rice, beans (to die for!), and guacamole.
Hello Heaven….we meet again!
