One of my favorite things in this world is Nutella.
While traveling in high school I learned about this cooking gem in Paris.
Well luckily (or not) you can now find at Ralphs or Vons.
My pants size and palate haven’t been the same since.
I could put Nutella on anything and everything….seriously.
So decided to make a Nutella-Butterfinger gelato.
There are a lot of recipes out there for Nutella gelato which are very similar.
Not to boast or toot my horn but this is AMAZING!!!
If you are in the mood for some hazelnut-chocolate goodness, try this.

Depending on your serving size you will need:
whole milk, heavy cream, Nutella, sugar, egg yolk, and Butterfinger bars.
All the ingredients used set out!
Separate the egg yolks in a bowl.
Add your sugar!!!
Beat the yolk and sugar together.
In a large saucepan over medium heat pour milk and heavy cream.
You will add sugar into this too.
Keep stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
If you have a lot this may take a bit.
Remember yolk/sugar mix you set aside?
Pour into the milk/cream/sugar mix on the stove.
*Note–add a little stove mix to yolk mix first so can get used to heat.
You stir on low heat until the mixture coats the back of a wooden spoon.
Pour the mixture through a strainer into a bowl.
Add your Nutella.
It is fine to take a sample of Nutella during this step.
Wisk Wisk Wisk.
Add your vanilla.
Then WISK WISK WISK.
Pour mix into your ice cream maker.
(Remember to freeze the bowl prior)
Crumbled your Butterfinger and add in during final minutes.
You can never have enough of this by the way!
Let me know if you make it!!!
