Matzoh Lasagna

May 3rd

This past Passover we went to or first seder dinner.

I had a blast!

An evening of wine, stories, tradition and lots of food!

We decided to make a matzoh lasagna to add to the potluck.

I had seen a couple recipes online but nothing really stuck.

So we decided to experiment with our own.

And let me tell you….it’s a keeper!!

It isn’t completely Kosher because we used ground turkey.

(The house we went to allowed this)

You could do the same thing using ground lamb!

Other than that….I am pretty sure it is kosher.

I’m not Jewish so don’t hold me to that!!!

Mozzarella, ground turkey, onions, celery, carrots, ricotta, garlic, crushed tomatoes and wine!

Start by cooking the carrots, celery and onions in olive oil.

Add the ground turkey and throw in some seasoning.

Throw in your canned tomatoes. I did crushed and diced.

While the sauce is cooking soak your matzoh in water until soft. Then put a layer in a baking dish.

Put a ricotta cheese layer.

Then a sauce layer.

Then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese.

Repeat three times!

Baked cover at 375 for 30 minutes, uncover for 10minutes.
