Herb Infusion

So I came across this recipe and instantly was excited to try it…for many reasons.

One, vodka is my choice when it comes to liquor.

Two, I love lemonade because it is so refreshing.

Three, it reminded me of two different drinks I have had recently mixed into one.

At a friend’s party a couple weekends ago I had a delicious homemade spiked lemonade

which is one of the best drinks I have had in a while…simple but good!

Then I had a rosemary-infused vodka martini that was simply divine at a family gathering.

This is somewhat of a combination using a different herb to mix into the drink.

Don’t be scared…it’s good.

This refreshing and delicious!!


Vodka-Thyme Lemonade


  • 2 cups sugar
  • 12 sprigs fresh thyme, plus more for garnish
  • 4 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 24 lemons
  • 2 cups vodka


  • In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups water with the sugar and thyme; bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat; let cool to room temperature.
  • Pour mixture through a fine sieve into a large glass measuring cup; discard thyme. You should have 2 cups syrup. Cover with plastic; chill.
  • In a large serving pitcher, stir together lemon juice, vodka, and chilled syrup; garnish with thyme. Divide evenly among eight tumblers filled with ice; serve immediately.
