Nutella Peanut Butter Brownies

Jun 29th

Ready for the best baking romance ever?

Chocolate.

Peanut Butter.

Nutella.

Need I say more to keep you enticed?

I think not!!

Ever since Nutella stepped into my life we have had quite the affair.

A wonderful one filled with great memories, but also turbulence due to swimsuit season.

But hey, as a waiter told me recently when I was wondering whether to order dessert…

“Do you think the people on the Titanic wished they ordered dessert that night?”

Morbid…but a great thought.

Anyways, I whipped these bad boys up and they were an instant hit.

I think they would pair well with this Nutella gelato I made.

Never to much Nutella right?

Try this simple recipe out and let me know what you think.

Start with one cup of flour.

Add 3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa.

And a 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.

Then 1/8 teaspoon of salt.

In a separate bowl melt 1 cup of butter.

Add in 2 cups of granulated sugar.

Mix in 2 teapsoons of vanilla extract.

With a wooden spoon beat in 4 eggs….one at a time.

Mix the dry mixture and the sugar mixture together.

Now the fun part….put a 1/2 cup (or a little more) of Nutella in a microwave safe bowl.

Throw in a 1/2 cup (or little more) of peanut butter. Melt in microwave.

Add the Nutella/peanut butter mixture of heaven to brownie mix. Testing is allowed.

Pour into a greased baking pan. Cook at 350F for 30-35 minutes.

Cool and cut. A little sprinkle of powdered sugar on top doesn’t hurt.

Just checking….
