Every since moving into our home (well me officially moving into husbter’s), I have had a big “to-do” list. It seems like every time I get a little something done three more things get added on the list. I have a fun time prioritizing and trying to figure ways to fix, change and spruce up the house without spending a lot or going too crazy. And not to mention I am not living with my girlfriend anymore so pink walls, furry rugs and random bright colors are a no-go. Though we do have leopard pillows on one couch so I’m not complaining.
The biggest hurdle we are set to tackle is our backyard. Right now is a giant pile of dirt (mud with any drop of moisture) and giant red wood trees. Originally we were planning on taking the trees down but we love mother nature and not the price tag of tree chopping. So born was the idea to create a “Big Sur” type of back yard and my online obsession of browsing for ideas was born. I have always had a love for chandeliers hanging from trees (hence our wedding location and favorite restaurant), so that is one my list. Along with giant mirrors, reclaimed wood, chalkboards and wine barrels. Going for a antique theme but not too shabby upon hubster’s request.
So long story short….this is the inspiration I have been spending unhealthy amounts of time researching. There’s many more to see here, but I figured this was a good start. Thoughts?
