In The Kitchen: Pumpkin Bread Bites

Nov 10th

Yum, yum, yum!!! Pumpkin bread. One of my favorite things about the holiday season is making this pumpkin bread recipe. It was one of the first bread recipes from scratch and since then it’s been a keeper. Besides tasting AMAZING, the smell fills the whole house which I love. Normally I am not a fan of cream cheese frosting but this one has just the right balance. This time I changed things up a little and added some pumpkin spice balsamic to the frosting for a little extra touch. Slicing into bite sized pieces make them a great dessert or appetizer. Warning, you won’t be able to have just one!

What are you favorite breads to make around the holidays?

Start with the sugar, eggs, oil and pumpkin.

Mix them all together.

Make sure to use an electric mixer.

Mix together the baking soda, salt, baking powder, flour and cinnamon.

Slowly add the dry mixture into the pumpkin mixture.

Pour into a greased 13×9 baking pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Make your frosting while the bread bakes with butter, cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar.

Mix the butter and cream cheese, then add in powdered sugar and vanilla.

I like to add in a little pumpkin spice balsamic from The Olive Vineyard.

Put the frosting into a plastic bag and cut the corner to add onto the cooled bread.

Simple right?
