Last Minute Gifts

Dec 22nd

Alright…. 3 days!!! Can you believe that Christmas came up so fast? Seems like it was just Thanksgiving! So for all my last minute shoppers out there, I have come up with a list of quick and easy gifts. Some online sites are even offering free 24hour shopping just for you! Don’t miss out and be a Scrooge!! My goal is to have these ideas be the best “bang for you buck!”

  1. Gift Cards: Head to your local mall or grocery store. They have dozens to chose from like Nike, Apple, Starbucks, Amex/Mastercard (these are good because they pick what they want to use it for), plenty of restaurants. Be a little more personal and get a gift card to a favorite clothing store.
  2. Victoria’s Secret: For friends, lovers, but not your mother. You cannot go wrong with the 5 for $25 deal. Recently my sis and I talked about how this is one of the best deals out there. Who doesn’t love new undies? They have cute PINK sweats as well!
  3. Booze: If you are in a bind it never hurts to grab a nice bottle of wine or favorite bottle of alcohol. They have pretty gift bags at any Rite Aid, CVS, etc. Everyone can always use an extra bottle of something something. Can even throw in a cute glass, rimmer or shaker to add to it.
  4. Lotto Tickets: This is the greatest gift, and you can even require a cut if they win big! Throw some fun scratchers and a few quick pics in a jewelry box.
  5. Treats: If you aren’t looking to spend much from the wallet, sweets never hurt. Whip up a batch of brownies, holidays cookies, even a pie if you’d like. And they don’t have to be from scratch…it’s the thought that counts.
  6. Customized Coupons: This won’t cost you a dime! Put together a holiday coupon book designed for friends, family or bf/gf. Ideas include “10 Minute Back Massage” “Movie of your Choice” and “No Phone for an Hour”.
  7. A Girl’s Caddy: For the ladies out there a quick trip to Rite Aid can solve your problems. Pick out a cute make up bag and throw in some beauty essentials: nail polish, hair bands, comb, file, lipstick, mascara, eye liner….ya know the basics. Practical, affordable, and personalized.
  8. Babysit: For those friends with kids offer a night out for them. You watch their kid so they can enjoy a nice night out. Your not spending anything, and if you don’t have kids good practice! (possibly a cheap form of birth control)
  9. Flowers: For mothers, sisters, grandmas, and friends you can never go wrong with flowers. Pick out a fun holiday arrangement. Not only will they make the house smell great, they could be used as a last minute center piece. Practical.
  10. Photos: For the crafty folk out there you have got a couple options. Pick out a nice picture and grab a cute frame (TJ Maxx and Homegoods are the best!). Or if you are feeling extra creative put together a scrapbook. Parents love this!!! Doesn’t hurt to fill with poems and quotes!
