Scalloped Potatoes

This recipe is too good not to share! We made this for Christmas Eve dinner and it was devoured! It really is hard to go wrong with cheese and potatoes right? Make sure to share pics or comments if you make! 🙂 



Here’s what you will need: 6-8 russet potatoes peeled and sliced thin (make sure to put in water so they don’t brown), one pound block SHARP cheddar cheese cut into small cubes, butter cut into cubes, salt, pepper, flour.



Step 1: Butter the bottom of a baking dish and put a layer of potatoes.
Make sure to dry the potatoes off!!

Step 2: Put cubes of cheese on top of the potatoes and dot with butter.
Pepper and salt the layer generously.
Step 3: Sprinkle about a tablespoon of flour over the layer. Too much doesn’t hurt.
This will help make the consistency thicker.
Step 4: Repeat the potato, cheese, pepper, salt, butter, and flour layering a couple times.

Step 5: Bake covered with foil at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.Take the foil off for the last
10 minutes or until bubbly and brown. Voila!! Enjoy!
